Whimsical Words 3
As promised, here is another use for the Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch. My first look at this punch showed me the promise it held for more than just great looking birds. That wing simply shouted "flower petal" to me.

Whimsical Words 2
My second installment of the Whimsical Words series is a double pre-view. It features one of our new punches along with the Sale-A-Bration set. All of the punches in the Occasions Mini-Catalog will feature a new design. You can see that the Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch is flat which makes for super easy storage, and, as the name implies, it makes a big image too. Check in tomorrow for a creative twist on this elegant punch.

Whimsical Words 1
This post starts my series of cards using the Sale-A-Bration set Whimsical Words. It's a little pre-view of what you can earn free starting on Jan 5th. It is also my first set of clear mount stamps from Stampin' Up. I'm very excited about them because of their ease of storage (the set comes in a DVD case) & their clarity of image (they still use normal SU rubber!). Look for them in the new mini-catalog & Sale-A-Bration. Don't worry, we'll still offer sets in wood mounts as well. Now you'll have a choice. Also, come to a January class to play with these new stamps first hand. Check out my calendar for class dates.

Mojo Monday 119
Okay, so I'm not certain that Mojo Monday really got my mojo going this morning. Sometimes it can be a challenge to make your ideas fit into a random template. I really enjoy the challenge, I'm just not always sure of the results. One thing was made clear to me though: it's time to get a Circle Scissor!

Cheerleader Bear
While I’m far from a sports buff, I’m pretty sure that the Broncos have a game today, so it seemed like a good time to introduce Cheerleader Bear. Our Build-A-Bear dies are such fun & I’ve been thinking about making her ever since I got the Flower Burst Embosslit. My friend, Rachael, immediately said it looked like a pompom & now I must agree! Stampin’ Up has several “outfits” for our friend the bear & there are more to come in the new mini-catalog. However, I’m kind of fond of this more homemade version.

Thank you Kindly
Now that Christmas is behind us, it’s time to send out thank you notes for all the kindness we received over the holiday. This card includes a “sneak peak” from the Occasions Mini Catalog that becomes available Jan 5th. The embossing folder is called “Perfect Polka Dots” & I’m a big fan. Both of the stamp sets for today’s project (Thank You Kindly & Itty Bitty Backgrounds) will be part of this year’s Sale-A-Bration. I’m very excited that not only can you get fantastic new stamp sets for free during SAB this year, but you also have a choice of more than 75 current sets! With all of the great new items coming out in the new mini-catalog you’ll have no trouble qualifying for a free Sale-A-Bration set. Contact me with any questions you have about Sale-A-Bration.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas! All looks white & lovely here for the big day. I didn't want to miss an opprotunity to use my Pick-a-Petal Big Shot folder before the Holiday Mini Catalog goes away. The poinsettias are perfect for Christmas. This Flower for All Seasons stamp makes me think of home, since we don't have any cardinals in Colorado. I hope this finds you enjoying your holiday. Make merry!

Christmas Eve Trees
Happy almost Christmas! As I get ready to head down to the aquarium to become an underwater elf, I’m really getting into the mood. This card was a great surprise born of experimenting with my Heart to Heart punch. I don’t think it was made to create great conifers (as my niece & nephew would call them), but it certainly does. It’s just another example of what is possible with punches when you add a little creativity. I’m a fan of anything that doesn’t require me to cut or draw for myself!

Cold & Cuddly Walrus
Sad to say, but the Cold & Cuddly set will soon be but a memory in Stampin’ Up history. The items from the Holiday Mini Catalog are no longer available after Jan 4th, so I decided to make hay while the sun shines (or the snow falls). I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to create a walrus in a bowler hat. That was the whole reason I bought the set in the first place, of course. My Stamp-a-ma-jig was a must for getting him on his ice burg & for putting on his hat. I think he needs a name, don't you?
Happy stamping & stay warm out there!

Mojo Monday...on Tuesday
My very first post on a brand new blog!
I must admit I’m excited to start this new project. I don’t promise anything in the way of techno savvy, but I’ll do the best I can. Today’s contribution is my version of the Mojo Monday template. Thanks to Sharon for getting me hooked on this idea. It’s fun to toss together a card with just a general template as a starting point. All I knew was that I wanted my ribbon to be our twill tape & the rest went from there.
I’m a big fan of the Animal Stories set the owl comes from as well as the Kind & Caring Thoughts hostess set that provides the sentiment. If you find your self in need of anything from Stampin’ Up, just visit my SU website. Thanks for checking out my new adventure.
